At Ilkley Choral Society we sing wonderful large-scale choral works. We’re an Ilkley fixture, having been around for over 75 years! We currently have more than 70 members, and together with our partner choir, Otley Choral Society, we perform with around 120 voices.

We’re privileged to be led in rehearsals and performance by amazing professionals – our Musical Director Alex Kyle and accompanist Robert Sudall. In concerts we employ orchestral performers from the local area, and professional soloists who perform nationally.

Singing amazing music together contributes to well-being, and has a positive effect on mental health and mood. Taking part in our concerts is a wonderful and exhilarating experience that’s hard to replicate elsewhere, and we’re always very keen to welcome new members.

Membership costs less than £15 per month, half that if you’re under 30 and free if you’re under 18! We put on four concerts a year in March, June, November and December and we meet to rehearse on Mondays at 7.30pm in central Ilkley.
